Where Do I Start?

im_newWe believe that church is far more than a Sunday experience.  Church is people – not buildings.  Church is all of US doing life together!  If you want to get connected at WC, if you want to create friendships with some great people, if you want to do life with people who really care, the best way to do that is by attending one of our Connect Groups.  What’s the point of attending a church where it’s nearly impossible to connect with other people?  We want to journey together with you.  We want to do life with you!

Q. Which WC Ministry Teams provide me with an opportunity to serve?
A. We have lots of ministry opportunities available for you.  Here are just a examples:  Our Hospitality Team includes Guest Guides, Connect Center Volunteers, Ushers, Coffee Shop Volunteers, Parking Lot Attendants, and Guest Welcome Center Volunteers.   Then our Youth Ministry Team includes Nursery Care, Excell Pre-school Kids’ Church,  ExCell Kids ChurchRoyal Rangers (boys),Mpact Girls ClubEncounter Student Ministries, and others.  Again, these are just a few ways you can serve.  Jesus came to serve, and we believe it is our responsibility to follow His model.  The greatest blessing for you is in GIVING, not RECEIVING!

Q. What are Connect Groups?
A. These are small groups that gather in homes to engage with God and others.  Some Connect Groups gather monthly, bi-montly, or weekly to seek Jesus and build community.  Wherever you are in your journey with God, we welcome you to our small groups.  We strongly urge you to join a group because doing life together happens best when we connect with friends on a regular basis.   Each gathering includes four components:  Welcome – Worship – Word – Works.

Q. What kind of church are you?
A. An exciting, life-giving, Jesus-loving, Bible-believing kind.  The worship in contemporary and the dress is casual.  We’re primarily about FIVE COMPONENTS: Worship–Missions–Students (teens)–Kids–Small Groups

Q. What’s available for my children on Sunday morning and Wednesday Night?
A. At WC we strongly believe that there are few things more important than investing in the children who will lead the next generation of His church. We provide two separate nurseries – one for infants, and one for toddlers.  Once a child is 3 years old and potty-trained, they move up to our ExCell Kids’ Church Ministry.  This ministry is divided into two age groups: Preschool (main building) and Kindergarten–Grade 5 (Mpact Building).  In a safe and fun environment, your child will learn about the God Who created him/her and loves him/her very much!  Please try to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled worship service or event.  Our Sunday morning worship experiences begin at 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m. 12:00pm.

Wednesday Family Night activities begin at 7:00 p.m.  At our mid-week gatherings you will find a fully staffed nursery, Impact Girls’ Club, Royal Rangers, and Encounter Student Ministries.

One more thing – everyone who serves in our children’s ministry has been thoroughly trained and gone through a comprehensive background check.
