FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. Is there a high-priority on ministry to children?
A. YES!  Once you tour our campus you will see environments that clearly reveal children to be a top priority at Whitley Church.  We have numerous ministries and activities designed specifically for children.  During our Sunday morning services we have a separate nursery for both infants and toddlers.  We also have a kids’ church for preschoolers and a K-5th grade kids’ church (ExCell).

On Wednesday evening, the services of our nursery are available for the tiniest ones, Mpact Girls Club, Royal Rangers (boys’ Christian scouting ministry), Encounter Student Ministries – all carefully designed for our kids and teens.

Q. What should I expect at my first service?
A. We hope you experience a sense of HOME.  Warm, friendly, and inviting.  Come early and grab a cup of coffee and a danish at our coffee shop.  If you would like, one of our friendly Guest Guides will gladly give you a tour around the church/campus.  The service is filled with great contemporary music, humor, video clips, and a relevant message from the scriptures.  We like to say that our services are spiritual but not spooky.  After the service ends, make sure to pick your Gift & Information Bag from our Guest Welcome Center located in the overflow seating area of the worship auditorium.

Q. Do you have a Sunday evening service?
A. We believe families are stretched to the max and that Sunday night is a great time for Dad, Mom and the kids to have some quality time together.  We do offer Wednesday Family Night activities (7:00 p.m.).  We are a multi-site church. This means we are 1 church with 2 locations.  Our worship venue is Goldsboro is called The Bridge and it meets on Thursday (7 pm) & Saturday (6 pm) evenings.  At The Bridge you will enjoy the same coffee, sing the same songs and hear the same sermon series.

Q. What should I expect at the midweek (Wednesday Night 7 pm) service?
A. Our midweek service is filled with excitement and fun.  We offer nursery services, Mpact Girls Club, & Royal Rangers.  Our teens gather in the Carpenter’s House.  We have classes for adults.  Call the office (919)735-5411 for a list of the adult discipleship classes we are currently offering.

Q. What time do your services start?
A. On Sunday morning we provide two worship opportunities at the Whitley Church location at 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m & 12:00p.m.  Wednesday Family Night begins at 7:00 p.m.
